Davis started acting as a child, working in summer stock with The Straw
Hat Players in Ontario and doing radio drama during the CBC's golden
age in the early fifties. He weaned himself from acting while at
university and embarked on a twenty year career as a theatre director
and acting teacher. In the early eighties, he drifted back to acting.
Within a few years his acting career blossomed, highlighted by the
iconic Cigarette Smoking Man in The X-Files. He is now in high demand
for a range of roles on film and television.
Character Actor, Cainan Wiebe (12) has been acting since the age of six. He has been in numerous commercials such as Toyota (directed by Peter Chelsom-Shall We Dance), IKEA, Post Cereal, Hampton Inn (directed by Stephen Daldry-Billy Elliot), Goldfish Crackers and the multiple award nominated commercial Got Milk? Birthday among others. Cainan has also done voice-over work and loved doing his first animated TV series Bratz. His film debut was in the short, Imagine Life, where he played the lead, Rocky, a boy who could draw life. Cainan has also appeared in various TV series and feature films. Cainan can be seen in these feature films: Snow Buddies, The Sandlot: Heading Home, Whisper, Air Buddies and Black Christmas.
Thirteen year old Brendan Meyer attended his first live theatre performance at the age of three and was captivated by the magical world of theatre. He took a wide variety of classes and performed in lots of theatre. When he was ten, he finally convinced his parents that he should pursue film and television roles. After performing in a few independent movies and some made for TV movies such as For the Love of a Child and Waking Wally: The Walter Gretzky Story, he got his big break as a series regular on the BBC/Discovery Kids show DinoSapien. Since then, he’s been in City TV’s Blood Ties and, of course, A Pickle. You can see him in CBC’s Christmas Special Secret of the Nutcracker and in the upcoming feature film, Freezer Burn.
