CALVIN FIELD  Writer

I've been writing ever since I can remember, but finally discovered screen writing 3 years ago, mainly through a love of movies. It didn't take long for the horror genre to jump up on me and it has held me captive ever since. The summer of 2006 saw my first two short scripts go into production - `LOVE SICK' and `THE JANITOR'S OFFICE'.

`UPS AND DOWNS' and `MOURNING MOTIVES' are the first of my scripts to be  entered into screen writing contests. The results should be in by the end of the year.

I have undertaken creative writing courses and hope next year to begin a diploma in screen writing.

I am currently concentrating on building up a portfolio of feature scripts within the horror/thriller genre. These scripts are available to view on the link below.

JEFF TOYNE  Original Music

Jeffrey Toyne has succeeded in establishing himself as one of today’s most promising young composers of film and television music.  While still a student, Mr. Toyne completed the score to his first feature film, Maxwell’s Demon, in 1998.  Upon earning a Master’s degree in composition, Mr. Toyne was chosen to attend the Henry Mancini Institute in Los Angeles and later earned a certificate in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television from the University of Southern California.  In 2001, he began work alongside respected film composer Edward Shearmur in Los Angeles.  This collaboration has led to credit on numerous motion pictures including K-PAX, Reign of Fire, Charlie’s Angels 2: Full Throttle, and Johnny English.  Increasingly in demand internationally, Mr. Toyne has orchestrated music for the Japanese feature Hotaru no Hoshi (which he also conducted), the BBC docu-drama Colosseum: A Gladiator’s Story, and Michael Kamen’s posthumous score for Back to Gaya.  Among his other film credits he counts the feature film Midnight is Coming, and over thirty short films, including two Academy Award nominees.  For television, Mr. Toyne composed the theme for the CTV pilot The Daily Blade; current endeavours include music for noted animated and reality television series.  The recipient of numerous awards and distinctions, his Songs of Innocence received the Godfrey Ridout Award for choral composition in the 1998 SOCAN Young Composer’s Competition. Mr. Toyne has been commissioned by organizations such as the Canadian Armed Forces, for which he composed Splendor Sine Occasu, the Official March of the British Columbia Brigade, and more recently, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, as part of their Olympic Comissioning Project.  Born in Canada, Mr. Toyne divides his time between Los Angeles and Vancouver, where he lives with his wife Lisa.
